For teachers

Teacher is the most important agent of values education at school — teacher is close enough to student to be able to support the development of student’s attitudes and judgements in the sphere of values. Teacher, particularly class teacher, is in contact with all parties involved, from the school administration to students and their parents. Accordingly, teacher’s attitudes and awareness of personal values and ways of their manifestation acquire crucial importance.

The aim of this page is to introduce various possibilities for a teacher to implement values education at school. The Values Game for teachers, developed to facilitate discussion on the topic of values among teachers, provides one possibility to discover, and reflect upon, values in teacher’s work.

The page also provides information about values education conferences, competitions and teaching resources for working with students.
