This book is a collection of papers from the conference “To Be or to Have” which took place on 1-2 April 2004 in Tallinn and was organized by the Estonian Student Council Union, Estonian National Youth Council, Freedom: Youth Movement, Active Estonian Youth and the Centre for Ethics of the University of Tartu. The publication also covers the essay competition on the topic „To Be or to Have?”. The best essays among the total of 349 works are published with comments from the judges.
